Dr. Brent Fisher is Co-Founder & Chief Scientist at Uviquity Inc, where he leads the company’s technology innovation efforts. A photonics scientist & entrepreneur, he combines deep technical expertise with extensive commercialization experience. A recognized thought leader, photonics expert, & prolific inventor with more than 90 scientific publications & numerous patents, he has led groundbreaking innovations across photonics, semiconductors, & sensor systems, advancing technologies from concept to commercialization.


Previously, Dr. Fisher served as Chief Scientist at Sense Photonics, Inc., an automotive lidar startup acquired by Ouster for more than $100 million. There, he conceived the system architecture, led R&D activities, & made major contributions to the company’s intellectual property, product development, & commercial success. Earlier in his career, he was Director of R&D at Semprius, a leading high-concentration photovoltaic module manufacturer. Prior to that, he served as a Research Staff Member at the Institute for Defense Analyses, a leading R&D nonprofit supporting the national security needs of the United States.


Dr. Fisher holds a B.A. in Chemistry & Integrated Science from Northwestern University & a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His doctoral research under Moungi Bawendi focused on laser spectroscopy of semiconductor nanocrystals, also known as quantum dots.

Dr. Yannick Lize is Vice President of Product Line Management – Photonics at Oriole Networks, where he leads the development & commercialization of advanced photonics technologies for next-generation optical networking systems. With more than 15 years of experience in silicon photonics, optical communications, & semiconductor technologies, he is widely recognized for his expertise in foundry processes, heterogeneous integration, advanced packaging, & photonic product development. 

Previously, Dr. Lize held senior leadership roles across the photonics industry, including serving as Director of the Silicon Photonics Business Unit at Intel, where he led the development & commercialization of silicon photonics transceivers & optical interconnect technologies. He has also held executive & R&D leadership positions at Baraja, DigitalLight, EFFECT Photonics, Lumentum, & Applied Micro, contributing to the advancement of high-performance photonic & semiconductor platforms. In addition to his industry leadership, Dr. Lize served as an advisor to PsiQuantum Inc & supports emerging photonics & quantum technology initiatives focused on scalable silicon photonics & integrated optical systems. His work bridges deep technical innovation with successful product commercialization, spanning datacenter optics, lidar, AI infrastructure, & quantum photonics.

Dr. Lize earned his Ph.D. from École Polytechnique de Montréal, where his research focused on photonics & optical communications technologies. He is regarded as a leading expert in silicon photonics manufacturing, heterogeneous integration, & advanced photonic packaging for high-volume deployment.

Rajanatha “Raj” Shettigara is a seasoned engineering executive & technology leader with deep expertise in embedded systems, high-speed system design, autonomous sensing, & robotics platforms. With decades of experience spanning semiconductors, lidar, robotics, & intelligent mobility systems, he has led the development & commercialization of advanced hardware & software technologies for high-performance sensing & autonomous applications.



Currently, Raj serves as Vice President of Engineering at Vayu Robotics, a robotics & AI company backed by Khosla Ventures & Lockheed Martin Ventures. At Vayu Robotics, he leads engineering efforts focused on scalable autonomous robotics platforms powered by AI foundation models & next-generation sensing technologies.

Previously, Raj served as VP of Engineering at Velodyne LiDAR, where he played a key role in the development of advanced lidar systems & high-speed sensing architectures that helped shape the autonomous vehicle & robotics industries. Earlier in his career, he was Director of Engineering at MegaChips Corporation, contributing to the development of high-speed semiconductor & data transmission technologies, including patented innovations in communication systems.

Raj has also held senior engineering leadership positions at STMicroelectronics, where he he has built & led multidisciplinary engineering teams across ASICs, embedded platforms, high-speed interfaces, sensing systems, & robotics technologies.
